Amigos Members: Admission is free!
Join us on Wednesday, May 10, for our annual Member Conference featuring Gennie Gebhart of the Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF) as keynote! A researcher and advocate for EFF, her work revolves around the conviction that, as access to information technologies expand and become more complex, so do threats to user security and privacy. Her keynote address will speak to the security and privacy implications of “fake news” and how libraries are positioned to help protect users in that realm.
Our closing keynote features John Horrigan, Senior Researcher at the Pew Research Center in Washington DC. His research focuses on libraries, the communities they serve, technology, open data, and open government.
Amigos is accepting proposals for presentations through March 30, so act fast. Our conference has a new schedule this year with one hour devoted to concurrent sessions on successful implementations of new technology.
