Registration Is Open for “MOOCs, Mobile Technologies - Their Impact on Reference Service”

Registration is open for "MOOCs, Mobile Technologies - Their Impact on Reference Service." Our latest online conference will be held Thursday, November 7, from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. CST.

Reference service continues evolving to meet needs of users at their point of need. MOOCs, Mobile Technologies - Their Impact on Reference Service will focus on the role of librarians in massive online open courses (MOOCs) and library use of mobile technologies to reach out to patrons.

We have a day packed with presentations covering the experiences of librarians in academic, public, and special libraries. Our goal is to construct a clearer picture of where reference service is today and where it may be in the future. Sessions include:

  • Connecting Users with Resources: Facilitating Easy Access
  • A Librarian Takes A MOOC
  • That All May Read in a Digital World
  • Social Influence: Using Mobile Technologies to Connect and Engage Patrons
  • Massively Social & Openly Mobile Reference: Current & Future Tech
  • And much more…

Seating is limited, and early bird discount registration ends October 24, 2013. Both individuals and groups are welcome. Post-conference recordings will be available to all registrants. To learn more and to register, visit the conference website.
