LJ Names Three "Movers & Shakers 2014"

Staff at three Amigos member libraries have been named to this year's list of Movers and Shakers by the Library Journal.

Wick Thomas, Teen Services Representative, Kansas City Public Library; Cory Eckert, Branch Manager (two branches), Houston Public Library; and Rachel Vacek, Head of Web Services, University of Houston Libraries, made the elite list of 50 individuals the magazine termed "passionate about what all types of libraries can do to enhance lives." Thomas was listed in the Change Agent category, while Eckert and Vacek were listed as Innovators.

The three will be honored at the American Library Association's annual conference, June 27 in Las Vegas.
