Has your library been utilizing User Experience (UX) design concepts to improve how you serve library patrons? Have you been exploring how to develop a deeper understanding of who your library’s users are? Share your ideas about how UX design principles are impacting libraries and the customers we serve by presenting at Amigos December 8 online conference "Driving Library Change with User Experience Design." It's essential that we examine the successes and challenges experienced through the use of data-driven design decisions as more and more information organizations utilize UX design principles.

Amigos is now accepting presentation proposals for this conference! Suggested topic areas include:

  • Implementation of UX design to improve the quality of users’ interactions in all areas of library services
  • Applying UX design principles to physical spaces
  • Gathering and analyzing user data in making library decisions
  • Experiences with managing change through UX design projects
  • Assessing and measuring user experience in libraries

If you can speak on one of these topics or have another idea in mind, please submit your proposal by September 30. Don't worry if you've never presented online. It’s easy, and we are happy to train you and will provide technical support during your presentation.

For more information about this conference, contact Christina Pryor, pryor@amigos.org or 800-843-8482 ext. 2897.
