Dr. Grace Jackson-Brown, assistant professor of library science at Missouri State University, an Amigos member, was named winner of the 2014 Zora Neale Hurston Award by the Reference and User Services Association, a division of the American Library Association (ALA). The award was announced at the recent ALA Midwinter Meeting in Philadelphia.
Funding is available to Amigos member libraries to support innovation, development, and research. Through a competitive selection process, the Fellowship and Opportunity Award provides up to $10,000 annually to member libraries and their staffs.
Internally, we are continuing to develop our e-book platform, looking forward to the summer when we can unveil the first version to you. In the meantime, we’d like your help.
