Registration is closed for this event
Despite the challenges of COVID on campus and in the library, 2020-2021 proved to be a growth year for outreach at Mississippi State University Special Collections. This talk will explore how the University Archivist developed relationships with organizations on campus focused on DEI work, increasing collaboration between the units, and the University Archivist curating exhibits on Hispanic heritage in Mississippi, Black student activism on campus, LGBTQ+ student groups, and unity. Despite a year of upheaval, the archivist was able to utilize existing relationships, cultivate new ones, and bring awareness to important, politically relevant stories and collections.
