Open Access (OA) publishing is gaining popularity within the scholarly community by making research accessible to all. Learn what distinguishes OA publishing from traditional models, its processes, the types of policies, resources to evaluate publishers and journals, and how OA can promote research. Explore opportunities to market OA resources to researchers and students.
 

Learning Objectives:

  • Identify the pros and cons of open access publishing
  • Differentiate between reputable and predatory open access publishers
  • Understand the different uses of open access, specifically Open Educational Resources (OER)
