Libraries and Streaming Media

Registration is closed for this event
One of the biggest challenges of any library manager and supervisor is to keep your employees motivated and seeing the value in the work they are doing for their communities. In this workshop, we will explore how you can motivate and retain your library staff by creating a positive workplace culture, provide a strategic vision, and fostering communication. We will also look at challenges managers encounter that can damage your staff’s morale and strategies you can employ to mitigate the impact.

In this workshop we will learn about the various streaming media content platforms, licenses, and purchasing models as well as examine how fair use, accessibility, and discoverability impact how patrons use streaming media. Lastly, we will explore ways we can market streaming media and how we can integrate it into library programs.
