Know & Go: Leveraging Social Media Toward Success of Library Outreach

Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest are some of the mediums through which libraries are reaching out to their patrons. This session will explore in detail both successful and unsuccessful methods of using such media and learn best practices on how to engage with these tools. The session will cover the importance of having a streamlined social media marketing strategy and teach attendees on how to construct one for their institution. Whether you are public, academic or school librarian this session will be useful in understanding how to use technology and social media to your advantage in reaching out to your users and put together library programs that benefit your patrons.
