JOB SUMMARY
Performs entry-level electronic document imaging or micrographics work. Work involves the setup, operation, and maintenance of digital imaging equipment and software, scanners, and micrographics equipment. Works under close supervision, with minimal latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

ESSENTIAL TASKS

  • Performs data entry
  • Performs Document Preparation
  • Maintains and reports daily production
  • Performs routine maintenance on machines
  • Edit microforms and digital images
  • Performs quality assurance of documents
  • May operate rotary, flatbed and microfilm cameras, digital scanners
  • Performs related work as assigned
  • Attends work regularly and in accordance with agency leave and attendance policies.
  • Complies with all applicable agency policies and procedures.

NON-ESSENTIAL TASKS

  • Inspects stored film for signs of deterioration
  • Report repair needs or issues with microfilm cameras or digital scanners
  • May operate rotary, flatbed and microfilm cameras, digital scanners
  • Document Services Technician II - $2400 - $2475

JOB SUMMARY
Performs routine (journey-level) electronic document imaging or micrographics work. Work involves operating, adjusting, and maintaining digital imaging equipment and software, scanners and micrographics equipment; and storing electronic information, microfilm, or microfiche. Works under moderate supervision, with limited latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgement.

ESSENTIAL TASKS

  • Operates rotary, flatbed and microfilm camera, digital scanners
  • Performs data entry
  • Maintains and reports daily production
  • Performs daily maintenance on machines
  • Edit microforms and digital images
  • Prepares documents for microfilming and scanning
  • Performs quality assurance of documents
  • Completes simple repairs of digital scanners or microfilm cameras and other equipment
  • Jacket loads Microfiche
  • Processing and Duplication of Microfilm
  • Assists with completion of laboratory related work, including sending samples to vendor for testing.
  • Performs related work as assigned
  • Attends work regularly and in accordance with agency leave and attendance policies.
  • Complies with all applicable agency policies and procedures.

NON-ESSENTIAL TASKS

  • Inspects stored film for signs of deterioration
  • May assist with training staff on imaging equipment and processes
  • Document Services Technician I $2200 - $2300

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Graduation from a standard senior high school.
  • Experience using a desktop computer.
  • Experience working with data entry and the handling of professional documents.
  • Ability to use office equipment including calculators, staplers, staple removers, utility knife
  • Ability to read and arrange documents by alphanumeric order.
  • Able to lift and move 30 pounds of work-related materials
  • Knowledge of composition and spelling

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience entering information into spreadsheets or databases
  • Experience operating a rotary microfilm camera
  • Experience using digital scanners to convert paper or microfilm to digital images
  • Experience using Digitech scanning software
  • Experience editing microforms or digital document output
  • Experience working in a micrographics or digital scanning service bureau
  • Experience using Microsoft Office products Word and Excel, Adobe Suite.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS AND INFORMATION

  • Criminal history check required upon contingent offer
  • 30-pound lifting exercise, will be administered at the time of interview
  • Ability to occasionally work overtime, including nights, weekends, and holidays

SUPERVISION
Works under the guidance of the lead workers. Supervised by the Imaging Supervisor.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Graduation from a standard senior high school.
  • 18 Months Experience in operating digital imaging equipment and software, scanners, and/or micrographics equipment including editing and filming.
  • 1 year Experience working with data entry and the handling of professional documents in a production environment.
  • Ability to use office equipment including calculators, staplers, staple removers, utility knife
  • Ability to read and arrange documents by alphanumeric order.
  • Ability to lift/move 30-pounds of work-related materials.
  • Ability to spell and write grammatically correct sentences.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience entering information into spreadsheets or databases
  • Experience operating a rotary microfilm camera
  • Experience using digital scanners to convert paper or microfilm to digital images
  • Experience using Digitech scanning software
  • Experience editing microforms or digital document output
  • Texlinx Experience
  • Experience working in a micrographics or digital scanning service bureau
  • Experience using Microsoft Office products Word and Excel, Adobe Suite.
