Assistant Librarian for Technical Services -- Hendrix College -- Conway, AR

The Technical Services Librarian manages technical services, including serials, interlibrary loan, cataloguing, e-resource and system management. The successful candidate will work collaboratively, be a creative problem solver, and proactively incorporate new and emerging practices and technology into the technical services environment. The Technical Services Librarian is to participate in professional conferences, workshops, and other academic-related venues to keep abreast of the latest trends and technologies, and will serve on library, college, and professional committees as elected or assigned.

Required qualifications include a Master’s degree in Library Science from an American Library Association accredited graduate program. Preferred qualifications include experience with interlibrary loan, electronic resources management, and cataloguing.

This role is best suited for an individual who is passionate both about making resources available and teaching students, faculty, and staff how to access resources. Further, the successful candidate will have proficiency working with analog and digital resources; excellent written and verbal communication; and have the ability to courteously assist and support others.

This is a 12-month position with faculty status with competitive salary and benefits reporting to the Director of the Library.
