Position Overview
This role will assist the library admin team on a variety of tasks and projects to make UNT Libraries a best workplace. This position is responsible for providing executive, administrative, and analytical support for UNT Libraries. This position coordinates activities within the libraries and across UNT, identifies opportunities for improvement, researches solutions and makes recommendations. Assists with integrating diversity and inclusion into all aspects of employee work life.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree and three years of highly responsible and varied office administration or business management experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Job Duties

  • Responsible for and assists with various projects including researching best practices,making recommendations, developing, and implementing solutions on topics including recognition, DEI, wellness, engagement, academic research libraries, organizing shared drive, etc.
  • Development of job aids, developing and improving processes and related documentation.
  • Assists with a variety of hiring and on boarding activities to help improve the sense of belonging for new employees. Tasks may include internal equity reviews, creation of initial appointment paperwork and associated appointments and will serve as back up to other hiring tasks. Assists with integrating diversity and inclusion into all aspects of employee work life.
  • Responsible for a variety of tasks Including tasks related to promotion, reappointment,hiring, off boarding, ePARs, preparation of memos, and survey creation.
  • Identify areas where internal processes can be streamlined or improved and recommend and develop solutions.
  • Responsible for collecting, maintaining, and analyzing data for a variety of purposes including salaries and assessing progress on DEI initiatives, meeting prep, etc.
  • Provides executive support including correspondence and calendar maintenance.
