The Cass County Public Library is seeking a highly qualified and motivated Library Director. As the Library Director, you will lead a team of dedicated staff to provide exceptional library services to our community. Your passion for literature, commitment to education, and innovative thinking will be vital in managing our library's resources, implementing strategic plans, and engaging with our community.

The Library Director will have a strong sense of financial responsibility and business acumen as they will play a crucial role in managing our annual revenue and ensuring the effective utilization of resources. The Library Director is responsible for the day-to- day operation of the library and carries out the mission of the library under the direction of the Board of Trustees.
The passage of the Proposition L tax levy increase has given the library opportunities to expand current services and create new services for the Cass County community. Cass County Public Library has an annual revenue of $5m and provides library services to approximately 110,000 residents through 6 locations, a bookmobile, an express library kiosk, and a Genealogy branch. After having completed a staff compensation study, and adopting a new Strategic Plan, the library has a strong foundation to continue its growth into the future.

Qualifications/Position Requirements
MLS (Master of Library Science) or MPA (Master of Public Administration)

OR, an equivalent combination of specific library-related workshops and training, or related education and experience.
