BioOne Announces New ESA eBook Collection and Special Offer

BioOne has extended their partnership with the Entomological Society of America (ESA) to deliver a collection of 160+ newly digitized eBooks serving the educational, professional, and scientific needs of entomologists, zoologists, and researchers in related disciplines.

The ESA eBook Collection is now available to libraries for a one-time purchase, and will be distributed exclusively through the BioOne Digital Library. Introductory pricing and a preliminary title list are also available.

The BioOne Complete Archive
Many Amigos members are already familiar with the annual subscription, which provides institutional access to libraries with an unlimited number of users and downloads and can be renewed on a yearly basis. The annual subscription includes post-cancellation access to all content published during the years of a library’s active subscription. However, if looking to secure permanent access to the full breadth of BioOne content beginning in 1996, the BioOne Complete Archive is available as an appropriate complement to those holdings. Subscribers with existing post-cancellation access will receive custom quotes, prorated to account for their existing ownership. This won’t cause any changes to existing subscription access, but is simply a way to guarantee continued access of the entire collection through ownership of the backfile.

The BioOne Complete Archive maintains a 5-year frontwall, so purchases made in 2023 cover content from 1996 through 2018. The Archive spans 177 titles from 128 different publishers and includes over 140,000 articles.
