Amigos Library Services Invites Nominations for Board of Directors

The Amigos Nominating Committee is accepting nominations from individuals interested in serving on the Amigos Board of Directors. The 2024 election ballot, to be sent to members in April, will include candidates for four positions on the board – three board of directors positions for representatives from member institutions and one board of directors position for an independent representative.

Addison, TX and Baltimore, MD – March 2023 – Amigos Library Services and the National Information Standards Organization (NISO) have announced a consortium agreement to provide NISO Library Standards Alliance (LSA) membership to all Amigos members.

Amigos Library Services Launches its 200th SimplyE Library: Kaibab Band of Paiute Indians Library

Dallas, TX – Amigos Library Services (Amigos) welcomed the Kaibab Band of Paiute Indians Library (Arizona) as its 200th SimplyE service client. The Kaibab Library is part of a project from the Arizona State Library, Archives, & Public Records focused on providing ebooks to tribal libraries within the state.

Amigos signs multi-year Skilltype Agreement for its Research Libraries

ADDISON, TX, December 13, 2022 — Amigos Library Services is making a first of its kind investment in increasing the capacity of its 500+ library members by implementing a multi-year partnership with talent management platform Skilltype. This partnership will provide access to a pilot group of research libraries to begin deploying a data-driven approach to organizational development. Initial pilot participants include Baylor University, Rice University, Southern Methodist University, Texas Christian University, Texas Tech University, The University of Texas at Austin, and Washington University in St. Louis.
