CFP Open for Moving On: Migrating Library Content and Data

"This link worked yesterday – why doesn't it work now?" "Will all of our local MARC fields migrate when we change catalogs?" When it comes to integrated library systems and electronic resources platforms, the one constant is change. Whether it's migrating all your MARC records to a new catalog system or updating URLs when an e-book vendor changes their platform, most library staff members encounter a migration at least once in their career. These processes can be daunting, but they don’t have to be scary.

Equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) initiatives and practices in library services have continued to grow and gain support over the past several years. However, now we need to ask ourselves, are we not only talking the talk, but walking the walk when it comes to EDI. Are the EDI initiatives and plans we developed years ago still working? Did they ever work? Are we seeing a positive impact from these efforts in our communities? What about among our staff and ourselves personally? We must thoroughly and honestly answer those to keep moving forward.
