Congratulations to the six recipients of Amigos’ Metadata Management Tools Micro-Credential. These individuals completed the three courses in the Metadata Management Tools series (Introduction to MarcEdit; Introduction to OpenRefine; and Programming with Python and PyMARC) and a capstone project to demonstrate their mastery of the series’ concepts.

Over the next membership year, Amigos will introduce a new series of Essentials online learning sessions available for free to Amigos member libraries.

In preparation for the upcoming elections, Amigos is testing email addresses to ensure that each member institution will properly receive voting materials at voting materials will be properly received by each member institution.

The IMLS-funded Collaborative Collections Lifecycle Project (CCLP), seeks to overcome serious barriers to wider implementations of cooperative collections management, including the lack of available vendor-neutral interoperable systems, adequate governance and decision-making frameworks, and assessment tools.
