Due to the severe weather conditions throughout the TAE/TExpress region, we anticipate courier service will be delayed or suspended for the week of 2/15 – 2/19. We are working with DSA, the courier company, to monitor service conditions for all hubs.
TAE Courier service has resumed in most of our hubs. To minimize issues, this is being cautiously carried out as part of a rolling and phased plan. Please refer to your most recent Tlist listserv update for currently open hubs and more details. If you are not currently receiving our listserv updates, please request access at tae@amigos.org.
In the last week, over 50% of our member libraries have chosen to close or suspend service due to the developing COVID-19 outbreak. Our partner courier networks, KLE, Mobius, and MALA have temporarily closed, as well as many of our peers through the US. Over the weekend, Dallas County issued a "shelter-in-place" order that takes effect 11:59pm, Monday, March 23, 2020. Due to this order, the Dallas offices of Amigos Library Services will temporarily close as of 5:00 p.m. this afternoon.
