Oxford Intersections are curated and edited by academics and global experts centered within the humanities and social sciences, each work will investigate an urgent and challenging topic from a multi-faceted perspective. Moving away from linear, long-form research, a diverse community of voices will clash, complement, and counterpoint to prompt new viewpoints and possibilities.
The first topics to launch in spring 2025, each with at least 50 articles and building to contain approx. 300, will be:
- AI in Society (General Editor Philipp Hacker, European University Viadrina) which will bring together scholarly research that explores how AI has transformed (and continues to transform) the world we live in and
- Racism by Context (General Editor Meena Dhanda, University of Wolverhampton) which will explore the layered and multidimensional nature of racism across different themes, such as politics/government, labour/economy, education, the arts, or health and welfare.
Further topics are in development, due to launch across 2025 and 2026, including Borders, Environmental Change and Human Experience, Gender Justice, and Social Media, with over 30 more to follow in the coming years.
