Instructor

Heather Beirne currently serves as Director of Learning & Engagement at Texas A&M University Libraries, where she leads a team of 18 librarians across Learning & Curricular Services, Student Engagement & Outreach, and Online Learning/The Studio. Previously, she was Director of Teaching & Learning at Eastern Kentucky University Libraries, where she coordinated information literacy instruction and reference services. Her research interests include pedagogical innovation in library instruction, faculty-librarian pedagogical partnerships, teaching with the ACRL Framework for Information Literacy for Higher Education, and academic library leadership. She holds an MSLS from the University of Kentucky and is an active member of professional library organizations.
