Introduction to Storytimes and Early Literacy Programming

Storytime and early literacy programs foster a love of reading for the littlest patrons, ages birth to 5. With guidance for supporting caregivers and engaging community partners, this course will help libraries create engaging events and services for families.
 

Learning Objectives:

  • Identify the foundations of early literacy
  • Discuss the library's role in family literacy
  • Utilize planning tools for 0 to 5 programs
  • Examine new trends in early literacy programs and services
