Directory of Open Access Journal (DOAJ): An Overview for Amigos Libraries
This webinar presents an overview of the Directory of Open Access Journals and shows librarians how they can use and promote quality-controlled Open Access content. Lars Bjørnshauge and John Dove will give background on the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), a database listing high quality, peer-reviewed, Open Access journals covering all disciplines and all languages. The DOAJ is a global initiative, with both content and usage coming from all over the world. The DOAJ currently lists over 15,000 journals. Learn about the journal application process, the role of volunteer editors, the approval process and how to become a DOAJ supporter through Amigos in this session.
