Library Staffing in the "New Normal" of Post-COVID - Amigos Community Conversations Event
This event is free and open to Amigos Library Services members.
Join us on July 13, 2021 for the first Amigos Community Conversations event and discuss with other Amigos members about how library staffing will change, or stay the same, as we enter the post-pandemic era. Lisa Wells and Barbara Glackin will facilitate a dialogue that will provide attendees with strategies and information on how they can plan for new staffing levels at their libraries.

This course consists of one 1 1/2-hour session.
Instructors:
- Lisa Wells is the Executive Director of Pioneer Library System in central Oklahoma. She received her MLIS from the University of Oklahoma. She is a 2008 Library Journal Mover and Shaker, a graduate of the Urban Libraries Council Executive Leadership Institute, and a ULC Joey Rogers Leadership Award recipient. Lisa is a past President of the Oklahoma Library Association and was selected as a 50 Women Making a Difference in the state and a Most Admired CEO.
- Barbara Glackin is the Dean of Kent Library at Southeast Missouri State University. Her previous professional positions include Assistant University Librarian for Resources Services and Technology at Portland (OR) State University; Associate Dean for Public Services at Boise State University; Head of Cataloging and the Online Catalog (BSU); Cataloging/Technical Services Librarian at Pittsburg (KS) State University; and Technical Services Librarian at Western Iowa Tech Community College. She earned her MLIS from the University of Texas at Austin.
