Introduction to Dublin Core
Dublin Core (DC) is an international metadata standard for describing digital objects and supports metadata exchange and harvesting. Starting with the core 15 elements and Dublin Core terms and progressing through to comparing different expressions of Dublin Core in HTML, XML, and RDF, this session provides an essential introduction to an important metadata standard.
Learning objectives for this session include:
- Explain the Dublin Core Abstract Model
- List and define the 15 DC Elements
- Understand the DC Terms and their relationship with the 15 Elements
- Compare different expressions of DC
