Know & Go: Teens Create in the Library using Makerspaces and Maker Labs
Makerspaces or maker labs, can be a great programming tool to engage young adults in the library. This presentation will focus on makerpaces for teens and young adults; what they are and how they can be creative DIY spaces where teens gather to create, invent and learn. We'll look at successful programs and identify tools and spaces needed to support teen makers in the library.

- Describe makerspaces for teens and young adults
- Identify successful programs and tools needed to support a teen makerspace
- Discuss how to start small and grow by using pop-up makerspaces when space is limited
- Discover creative fundraising techniques and funding sources
