Know & Go: Teaching in the Library: Applying Learning Theories to Support Our Communities
Therefore, knowing how people learn can help us grow professionally and better serve our communities. This workshop will include overviews of the following learning theories:
- Constructivism
- Andragogy
- Experiential learning
Attendees will leave the session with practical ideas for applying the theories of constructivism, andragogy, and experiential learning in their day-to-day work.
Learning Objectives:
- Attendees will explore three different theories of learning.
- Attendees will identify how the application of learning theories can support their work.
- Attendees will recognize when to apply learning theories to workplace scenarios.
