Incorporating Sustainability into Teaching, Programs, and Practice ~ Self-paced

Registration is closed for this event
Understand sustainability as a set of practices and as a discipline. Explore how various library organizations have adapted practices, created programming, and developed information-literacy learning modules with sustainability learning outcomes. Attendees will articulate how sustainability is interconnected to the development of information literacy and life-long learning skills by drafting a sustainability project plan, which will be presented to the entire class.

This is an asynchronous, self-paced course: asynchronous learning does not require real-time interaction; instead, content is available online for students to access when it best suits their schedules, and assignments are completed to posted deadlines.

Learning objectives for this session include:

  • Incorporate sustainability elements into information literacy–based lessons, library programs, and practices.
  • Design instruction, programming, and practices that incorporate the E's of sustainability: Environment, social Equity, and Economics.
