Our course, Practical Privacy for Libraries, will help you learn about the Library & Information Technology Association (LITA)'s lists of specific actions that libraries can take to safeguard privacy. Upon course completion, attendees will be able to identify actions that they should take, discuss the major sections of a privacy policy, and identify tools that could be used to increase privacy in their library.

Blockchain is the underlying technology used for Bitcoin and is being considered for use in a variety of areas, including libraries. Blockchain, because of its structure, is one of the most secure processes available. In this course, we will discuss what Blockchain is, how it is used in Bitcoin and other non-financial services, and consider its advantages and disadvantages.
