UT Library Embraces BBC Shakespeare Series in Streaming Video from Ambrose Video Publishing
A growing number of Amigos Members are taking advantage of the popular BBC Shakespeare Series offered in streaming video from Ambrose Video Publishing, an Amigos vendor partner.
Gary Lay, Media Coordinator for the Fina Arts Library at The University of Texas at Austin, recently commented on the reception of the streaming video series by library users.
“The BBC Shakespeare plays have been a mainstay in our collection, first in VHS format, then DVD, and now in video streaming,” said Lay. “This is keeping pace with what our users want and need. Video streaming of the timeless BBC productions provides both educational and recreational viewing. The quality is high at Ambrose. One of the best features is closed captioning. Our users really enjoy this feature.”
The series includes 37 plays that feature some of Britain’s most distinguished theatrical talent.
