Jeff Baskin Profiled in Newspaper Article

Jeff Baskin, Director of the William F. Laman Library System in North Little Rock, AR – an Amigos member – and a former Amigos Board Chair, was profiled in a recent issue of the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette.

The article recounts Baskin's journey, beginning with his early years growing up in New York City, his military service that included a tour in Vietnam, through his postwar years that eventually led him into librarianship and to Arkansas.

His time with the Laman System and the many transformations he has overseen in his nearly 30 years on the job are detailed, including a new branch that just opened in the historic Argenta area of North Little Rock. When asked whether retirement is in his future, he offers a noncommittal "I don't know. Maybe."
