Speakers Needed for Amigos Member Conference: "Striking a Balance: Positive Practices in Libraries"
"Striking a Balance – Positive Practices in Libraries" is the theme of the 2014 Amigos Member Conference. We are looking for speakers for the May 14-15 event. Share with others how you have managed to strike a balance and how this balance contributes to overall success in your life and in your library. Possible presentation topics include:
- Work/Life balance
- Balancing online and in-person formats
- Individual/community focus
- Balancing budgets
- Automation (self-service)/personal touch
- Managing the library like a business/managing the library like a social services agency
- What's the library's role in safekeeping the culture's record of thought/turning into a principally services institution
- E content/P content
- Created content/Purchased content (think e-books)
Online events eliminate your travel time by allowing you to present from the comfort of your office. Also, don’t worry if you've never presented online; it's easy and we are happy to train you.
