Meet with Your OCLC Cooperative Colleagues at the Public Library Association (PLA) Conference 2014

If you're heading to Indianapolis for PLA 2014, plan to join your OCLC colleagues to discover new ways to participate in the OCLC cooperative. Meet with other OCLC members and consult with our team on solutions that will help you serve your public library users more effectively.

OCLC will be in Booth 1331, so please make time to visit!

We have many events planned, including these four that will be held in Room 212 at the Indiana Convention Center:

  • Dewey Breakfast: Learn what's new with Dewey, including DDC 23, Abridged Edition 15 and WebDewey 2.0; and share ideas and notes with your colleagues.
  • Launching online special collections using CONTENTdm: Join us to learn how to highlight to your library and community through your special collections. Hear what two Indiana libraries have accomplished with OCLC's CONTENTdm Digital Collection Management Software.
  • "Strengthening CE Content for Libraries” Grant: WebJunction and Infopeople are working together to pilot practical models for developing new e-learning content for library staff and to build the skills and capacity of CE providers to rapidly and collaboratively design and deliver content on topics essential to the field. Learn more about this IMLS-funded grant and pick up a copy of the updated 2014 edition of the Competency Index for the Library Field.
  • OCLC Update Lunch: Hear Skip Prichard, OCLC President and CEO, who will host the OCLC Update. Join your colleagues and learn more about OCLC’s latest initiatives in support of public libraries.
