Amigos to Participate in Upcoming State Conferences
Amigos will be participating in the Oklahoma Library Association's annual conference, March 31-April 2, at the Marriott Southern Hills Hotel in Tulsa. Attendees are encouraged to drop by and visit with Amigos staff in Booth 4 in the exhibit hall.
Amigos staff will present three programs Tuesday, April 1. Technology Services Analyst Robert Williams will present the "Amigos E-Book Platform," an update on the e-book project currently in development. Continuing Education Librarian Tim Prather and Trans-Amigos Express Manager Rae Cheney will present "Amigos for Interlibrary Loan," on how Amigos can assist libraries in making their interlibrary loan processes run more smoothly. Public Library Specialist Lynne Craddock will present "Teens Create in the Library: Using Makerspaces and Maker Labs," that will focus on this hot new concept in library programs, especially for teens.
Amigos will be on hand for the Texas Library Association's annual conference, April 8-11 at the Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio. Attendees are encouraged to stop by Booth 2230 to visit with Amigos staff. Wednesday, April 9, Amigos Continuing Education Librarian Christine Peterson will present "Emerging Technologies Librarians Need to Know" (Net Fair I) as part of the Automation and Technology Round Table.
