Candidates for 2014 Amigos Board of Directors Election Announced

The Amigos Nominating Committee has announced the slate of candidates for election to the Amigos Library Services Board of Directors. Candidate and voting information will be sent to the designated Voting Representatives of Amigos member institutions as part of an upcoming Call to Meeting mailing.

Amigos Secretary and Nominating Committee Chair Jennifer Goodson, Fort Smith, AR, reported the slate of candidates for the May election, which includes the following:

Candidates for Board of Directors (Librarian) – three to be elected for a three-year term:

  • Dr. Joe Dahlstrom, Library Director, Victoria College & University of Houston-Victoria Library (TX)
  • Ms. Linda Morgan Davis, Assistant Director, Albuquerque/Bernalillo County Library System (NM)
  • Ms. Robin Fradenburgh, Associate Director, University of Texas at Austin
  • Dr. Polly Lackey, Director, Wayland Baptist University (TX)
  • Ms. Polly McCord, Graduate Research Librarian, University of the Incarnate Word (TX)
  • Ms. Lisa Wells, Assistant Director for Library Services, Pioneer Library System (OK)

Candidate for Board of Directors (Independent) – one to be elected for a three-year term:

  • Mr. Craig Stephenson, City Manager, Ponca City, OK

Candidate for Board of Directors (Librarian) – one to be elected for two years to complete a three-year term:

  • Ms. Elizabeth MacDonald, Dean of University Library Services, Lindenwood University (MO)

Candidate for Board of Directors (Librarian) – one to be elected for two years to complete a three-year term:

  • Mr. Ruben Aragon, Director, New Mexico Highlands University

Goodson expressed her thanks to committee members Cody Gregg, South Texas College; and John Trischitti, Midland County (TX) Public Library, for their diligent work in preparing the slate.
