Amigos Welcomes Maney Publishing as MDS Vendor Partner

Amigos Member Discount Service (MDS) is pleased to spotlight Maney Publishing, one of the most recent additions to our lineup of valued vendor partners.

Maney is an independent publishing company founded in 1997 in Leeds, UK, specializing in peer-reviewed academic journals in materials science and engineering, the humanities and social sciences, and health science. Maney's portfolio includes more than 150 scholarly journals, most published in partnership with societies, universities, and institutes. Subject areas include archaeology and heritage, history, language, literature, culture, philosophy, religion, and theology.

Through its MORE (Maney Online Research E-Journal) Collections, Maney offers libraries subscriptions customized to their unique needs. MORE offers online-only subscriptions to all journals in each of its key subject areas at significant discounts. The licensing options have been designed to suit the differing needs of academic institutions worldwide, reducing the unit cost of information while expanding access to a wider range of electronic content.

Amigos members currently subscribing to Maney journals include Arizona State University, Northwestern University, the University of Chicago, the University of Missouri, and the University of Texas at Austin.

Through MDS, Amigos members are eligible to receive discounts of 40 to 60 percent off the list price of all Maney journals. Amigos members may also sign up for free trials of up to three months. The trials are set up via IP range, allowing an entire institution to access the content.
