Next Week’s Amigos Member Conference: Copyright, Instruction, Self-Service, Statistics, Weeding, and More

The 2014 Amigos Member Conference offers a balance of programs that will engage and inform. Finding balance is the key to solving problems, making decisions, and overall management of our libraries, lives, and library careers.

Michael Stephens will open the conference with a keynote session on finding the balance between work practices, technology, the human touch, and service.

Everyday decisions in all corners of the library weigh the balance of risk and reward, progress and stability, consistency and creativity. Breakout sessions showcase how your colleagues have managed to strike a balance.

Member presentations include:

  • Self-service and staff resources
  • Study space and collections
  • Technical services and instruction
  • Copyright permissions and protections
  • Data collection and analysis
  • New and persisting technologies

Steven J. Bell will close the conference with a session on library design for collections.

Don’t forget to register and join us May 14 & 15 for the Amigos Member Conference, with sessions that will help you "Strike a Balance" between operations and people. Complete session descriptions and online registration are available on our website.

Interested in attending but unable to attend May 14 & 15? Don’t worry; your registration also includes access to the archives for viewing sessions after the event is over.
