Kathy and Brendan Reichs Join North Texas Teen Book Festival Lineup

Teen literature sensations Kathy and Brendan Reichs join an impressive lineup of over 50 young adult (YA) and middle-grade literature authors appearing at the North Texas Teen Book Festival, March 7 at the Irving Convention Center. Noted authors include David Levithan (Will Grayson, Will Grayson and Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist), Patrick Carman, (Pulse and the Land of Elyon series), Ally Condie (Atlantia and the Matched Trilogy), Stephanie Perkins (Anna and the French Kiss and Isla and the Happily Ever After) and John Corey Whaley (Noggin and Where Things Come Back).

Kathy Reichs is an adult mystery author best known for her Temperance Brennan series, which inspired the hit television program Bones starring Emily Deschanel and David Boreanaz. The mother-and-son writing team has co-written Virals, a best-selling young adult series. Book five of that series, Terminal, is slated for release March 3, just days before the opening of the festival.

The North Texas Teen Book Festival is expected to be one of the largest gatherings of YA authors and readers in the state this year. Visitors of all ages can expect a free, fun-filled day full of memorable experiences. Fans will be able to meet their favorite authors and discover future favorites during panel discussions, book signings and Speed Dating with a Book, a high-energy activity for teens. Books will be available for purchase on-site through Half Price Books.

"We are super excited to have such a broad range of authors at our inaugural event," said festival founder and Irving Public Library teen librarian Kristin Trevino, "To have Kathy and Brendan Reichs as part of this event is like a dream come true."
