Viewpoint From the Chair - April, 2015
Carla Stoffle, Chair, Amigos Board of Directors
Throughout my term as Chair of the Amigos Board of Directors, I have shared the process the Board has been engaged in these past months creating Plan 2020, the Amigos 5-year strategic plan. The next and most important step in this thought-intensive process is input from Amigos Members.
Feedback from those most impacted by it is a critical step in the development of any strategic plan. To obtain your input, we recently emailed Amigos Members a 2015 Strategic Planning survey. Hopefully you received this email and took a few moments to review the information, offer your comments, and return it. We are pleased to have received quite a number of responses, and I want to thank all Amigos Members who took part in this key step by giving us their thoughts.
Next week you have another opportunity to provide the Amigos Board with input. On April 15, Amigos Treasurer Craig Stephenson and Chief Financial Officer Charles Cason will be available by phone from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. to receive your comments about the proposed FY2015/16 Amigos Business Plan. This week we are mailing Administrative Memorandum A15-01, which includes a summary of the proposed Business Plan, to Amigos Members. The memo details the process whereby Amigos Members can offer comments and ask questions about the proposed budget. Like Plan 2020, we hope you will take a few moments to review the budget document and contact Amigos with any questions or comments.
Most all of us have participated in the strategic planning and budget processes for our institutions and recognize how vitally important it is that these documents include input from those most affected by them. I thank you again for your valuable participation in the creation of Plan 2020 and the FY2015/16 Amigos Business Plan. The direction of Amigos depends on it.
