FY2016 Amigos Conferences Set
On the heels of the successful September 17 online conference "Open Source Software and Tools for the Library and Archive," the next in the series of Amigos topical online conferences for FY2016 is "E-books in Libraries: An Update," scheduled for Monday, November 16.
Libraries have been working with e-books for a number of years and in a variety of ways. The landscape, however, has continued to shift – sometimes under our feet. Amigos wants to continue the conversation and is lining up an impressive array of speakers to share their thoughts and ideas.
Some libraries are working within the limitations of existing services, providing exceptional value for their communities. Others have created their own services from scratch, while still others are taking advantage of both scenarios. What are you doing to enhance your e-book services? Have you studied your statistics? Run user or usability studies? Tried an assortment of marketing techniques? Gone "where no library has gone before?" The experiences offered by our presenters will help your library - public, academic, or special library.
Program details and registration information will be posted to the conference website as they are confirmed. For more information about the conference, contact Amigos eShelf℠ Service Manager Christine Peterson at 800-843-8482, ext. 2891.
Topical online conferences later in FY2016 include January 21 and March 31. Topics for these conferences will be announced as they are confirmed.
