Amigos welcomes Christina Pryor, Kyla Hunt
Please join us in welcoming Christina and Kyla to Amigos.
Christina joins Amigos Library Services as the Consulting and Education Services Manager. She will oversee the development of training opportunities and provide direct consulting services to Amigos members. Christina has experience in library management, staff development, public libraries, and special libraries.
Prior to joining Amigos, Christina served as Reference Manager for the St. Louis County Library in Missouri and as a medical research librarian for a corporation. She is an active member of the American Library Association and Special Library Association, who named her a Rising Star in 2011. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale and a Master's Degree in Library and Information Science from the University of Missouri-Columbia. Kyla Hunt serves Amigos as Public Services and Technology Trends Specialist. While keeping an eye on current library trends, Kyla provides training and consulting services for Amigos member libraries on a wide range of public services and technology topics. She also serves as the coordinator for AskAcademic, a multi-state virtual reference cooperative.
Kyla previously worked in a variety of libraries and nonprofit organizations, including the Texas State Library and Archives Commission, TechSoup Global, Concordia University Texas in Austin, and the County of Los Angeles (CA) Public Library System.
