Registration now open for upcoming Amigos online conference

Registration is now open for the February 11 Amigos online conference, Going Out of Bounds with Reference Services.

Librarians from across the country will speak on a variety of topics including:

• campus partnerships
• the new digital divide
• research consultations
• outreach to unique segments of the patron population

Reference librarianship has transformed from standard "behind-the-desk" reference to roving reference, to virtual reference, and finally beyond the library walls. As part of this evolution, libraries have begun integrating reference services into other library and community services, bringing reference services directly to the need.

The online conference will offer a variety of experiences that reflect this innovation, including public, academic, and special libraries. Each session will run 45 minutes. The deadline for early bird registration is January 29, 2016.

Don’t forget, as an added benefit of Amigos membership, all Amigos online conferences are free of charge to the staff of Amigos member institutions.
