The first course in a brand new series, Metadata Principles and Practices: Metadata Basics, will be January 10, 2017 from 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. CDT. This two-hour online workshop is designed to help catalogers, archivists, digital project managers, or anyone needing an overview of metadata, understand the role of metadata and how it works. It will cover the basics, analyze the purpose and uses of metadata, and list the keys to successfully launching a new metadata standard in your library or institution.
