As an information professional, how do you feel about Wikipedia?
While hearing a patron or student say that Wikipedia is their go-to resource may cause many librarians to shudder in dismay, libraries and Wikipedia actually share a common goal – to provide free and open access to information for all. In our course, Wikipedia & Libraries – Enemies or Allies?, you’ll learn why Wikipedia is important, the "rules", reliability, and best uses for Wikipedia, and the advantages and disadvantages of using Wikipedia for research.
