Amigos Online Conference Series
Amigos has announced the line-up of online conferences for FY2011. The online conference series offers something for everyone:
- Reference @ Your Library - August 31, 2010
- Going Green @ Your Library 2 - November 3, 2010
- RDA @ Your Library - February 4, 2011
These events are a great value with speakers you want to hear, content you want to know, travel expenses you cannot beat, access to all the sessions through archived recordings, and networking with colleagues far and near.
Registration is still open for Reference @ Your Library. Sponsored by Altarama, the August 31 conference will include sessions focusing on how mobile technology impacts reference, embedding reference librarians in online classes, and strategies to overcome communication gaps.
Following up on the inaugural online green conference in 2009, Going Green @ Your Library 2: Working Green, Teaching Green, will bring the latest information on many aspects of environmentally conscious librarianship—from reference service to buildings and maintenance. Details will be available in September.
RDA @ Your Library promises to be an action and information packed day, filled with knowledgeable and diverse speakers on RDA topics from the theoretical to the practical. Details will be announced in September.
Individual registration for each conference is $89. Amigos Learning Passport holders are eligible for no charge registration for at least one of these online conferences.
