Support Quality-Controlled Open Access Through Amigos

To promote quality-controlled open access content, Amigos is continuing its partnership with the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ). DOAJ is a community-curated online directory that indexes and provides access to high quality, open access, peer-reviewed journals. Through our partnership, member libraries can become DOAJ supporters for 2022 with a 30% discount.

DOAJ support comes at two levels, Basic and Sustaining.

Benefits for Basic DOAJ Support include:

  • Acknowledgement as a DOAJ Basic Supporter on the DOAJ Supporters' webpage
  • Designation on the Supporters' webpage that your support was facilitated by Amigos
  • Ability to provide Supporter Feedback
  • The right to use the DOAJ Basic Supporter status in marketing activities

Sustaining DOAJ Support includes all the benefits of Basic, plus the opportunity for participation in governance by nominating and voting on members of the DOAJ Council and Advisory Board. Libraries also have the option to pay three years up front to receive an additional discount. Over 80% of its funding comes from academic supporters. And now Amigos member libraries can join in support at their level of choice.
