The leading provider of financial data on major privately-held companies, Amigos vendor partner PrivCo has several new exciting changes coming this year. In 2024, PrivCo subscribers can look forward to:
- More Private Company Profiles: The data team will be reviewing over 1 million NEW private companies and populating identified Companies from our Backstage Data Lake and getting them live on the Production Database, so expect a big jump in coverage in 2024.
- Similar Companies Suggestion: This would mean that PrivCo will offer a "comparable companies" section to a company's individual profile page. An innovative tool that will grant a clear view of a company’s standing amidst competitors and peers.
- Monthly vs. Annual Data: Coming Soon: Employee and Valuation figures will be captured at the Month level vs. the Year level, which will enable more granular research.
- Customer Self-Serve Upload and Mapping: This will assist users who are working with large lists of companies sourced elsewhere who will be able to upload their file to PrivCo to receive matches and corresponding data. Faculty and students can currently to do this anytime by contacting PrivCo, but this feature will soon be available on the front end as well.
- Personalized Notifications and Alerts: This is being built out later in the year, and once activated by an individual user, PrivCo will offer suggestions and update notices based on individual saved searches and watchlists.
- Company Coverage: As a reminder, PrivCo is industry agnostic, and will include ALL types of private companies, provided they are doing at least $1M in annual revenue OR have at least $1M in funding. This means that PrivCo will have coverage of both a 1-year-old software firm with 10 employees and venture capital funding behind them, as well as an 80-year-old manufacturing firm with 400 employees that is still family-owned and very much off the radar. PrivCo will also ensure that academic clients will always have access to the exact same financial data points as corporate clients.
