Member Votes Finalize Amigos/MLNC Merger
Submitted by Amigos on Tue, 2012-05-15 12:00Amigos Library Services announces that its members have voted to approve the merger of Amigos and the St. Louis-based Missouri Library Network Corporation (MLNC). The results of the vote were announced during the organization's Annual Amigos Member Business Meeting held May 9.

We are pleased to report to current Amigos members that the members of the Missouri Library Network Corporation (MLNC) have strongly approved the motion to merge MLNC into Amigos. This positive action represents the first of two critical steps required to move forward with the merger, which can only occur if Amigos members also approve it.
Amigos Voting Representatives received voting materials late in March. As a reminder to those designated as Voting Representatives of Amigos member institutions, directed proxy ballots for the May 9 election are due at Amigos by 5:00 p.m. CDT tomorrow, April 27, by mail, fax, or online.
