A new policy statement about RDA (Resource Description and Access) records in WorldCat is now available as part of the RDA pages on the OCLC website. This new policy becomes effective March 31, 2013. It grew out of a discussion paper, "Incorporating RDA Practices into WorldCat", and the many comments received from member libraries in response to that paper.

On January 16, OCLC held the webinar, “Transforming Discovery and Resource Sharing with OCLC: FirstSearch, WorldCat Resource Sharing and More”. Katie Birch, OCLC Director of Delivery Services, and Mindy Pozenel, OCLC Director of WorldCat Discovery, provided updates on plans to expand and enhance the WorldCat Resource Sharing and FirstSearch services.
