Amigos announces the new workshop series "Metadata Principles & Practices."
These workshops will provide participants with strong knowledge of how metadata standards are created; how metadata is customized, exchanged, transformed, and migrated; and how the Semantic Web is enabling users to use metadata in new ways.
The WorldCat knowledge base continues to grow, with new providers and collections added monthly. The details for December updates are now available in the full release notes.

Our February 12 online conference will focus on a specific product from OCLC: CONTENTdm. On its website, OCLC says, "CONTENTdm helps you to make your digital collections fully searchable on the Web, more quickly and easily." For a number of years, Amigos has partnered with OCLC to provide consulting services, and continues to provide training, for this product.
