The second course in a brand new series, Metadata Principles and Practices: Metadata Standards and Types, will be January 12, 2017 from 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. CDT. This two-hour online workshop should be taken after, "Metadata Basics." It is designed to help catalogers, archivists, digital project managers, or anyone needing an overview of metadata, discover how metadata standards are created. Participants will learn how to understand the roles of schemas and DTDs in defining tags and learn how to list types of metadata and their roles in describing resources.
Amigos can also provide on-request training, either live online or face-to-face, for your library or local group designed specifically to meet your needs. You can also join with other libraries in your area to split the fees and expenses.
